Contract management platform ContractPodAi announced a new intake application on Thursday that it says will automate legal requests.

The company, formed in 2015 and headquartered in London, said users can add the new product, Legal Intake, to its existing platform.

In a press release, ContractPodAi chief technology officer Anurag Malik said the new app will allow users to see “the progress of requests in real-time” and eliminate manual data entry which can be both time-consuming and lead to human error.

According to the release, without an automated system, in-house legal departments sometimes have to fall back on emails and chat messages and take phone calls to manage intake requests.

“This offering is a game-changer for legal teams looking for ways to reduce the time around processing legal requests and to provide more value quickly to their entire business,” Malik said.

The company says the process is automated and the app centralizes and tracks legal requests. It adds that requests go through ContractPodAi’s Smart Repository, a cloud-based system that allows users to access all their contracts and legal data.

Several other companies offer automated client intake as part of their platforms, including the practice management software Clio and MyCase.

Malik told the ABA Journal that there are other “great solutions” on the market. But he added that the new product “stands apart from what’s out there today because it’s designed by lawyers for lawyers.”

Malik said users can integrate the software with the email platforms Gmail and Outlook.

The cost of the new app will depend on the size of the legal team using it, company spokeswoman Devin DeGagne said in an email. Users can buy it as a standalone product or integrate it with ContractPodAi.
